The School of Technology and Management (STM), London was set up with the primary aim of offering cost effective education leading to British degrees in Business and IT. STM is a division of St. Piran's School (GB) Ltd and is fully accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education (BAC) and also an ECS member of the British Council).
  
 
What is the average cost of living in London as an International student?
London is a reasonably priced city offering good quality affordable living and abundant accommodaton. Students will need of £800 - £1000 a month to cover living expenses. This includes accommodation, food and transportation. This may vary depending on your budget for rent, food, transport and leisure activities.
 
Can I work part-time ?
Students are permitted to work 20 hours per week during term time and up to 40 hours per week during the vacation period. The School is not responsible for finding any type of student employment. Many international students work part time in the retail, tourism and hospitality industries. However, as work cannot be guaranteed it should be viewed as a supplementary source of funds only and cannot be used to cover tuition or living costs.
 
Can I work in UK after completion of studies?
International students who have acquired a Bachelor degree or higher qualification in any subject can apply for a visa and remain in the UK to work for up to two years on the Post Study Work visa. For more information log onto:
 
 
Are student visas difficult to obtain?
No. If you have sufficient funds to cover the cost of study and living expenses and if you are able to demonstrate your bonafide student status, you should have no difficulty in obtaining a student visa.
 
Who awards my final degree?

The final degree is awarded by the University of East London (UEL).

 
Can I give the fee deposit draft to the School Representative?
Normally students are required to pay a deposit prior to enrolment. Your offer letter will outline the details of payment of this deposit. Fee deposits should be paid by way of Bankers Draft favouring "School of Technology and Management”.
 
Can I defer or change my course after I arrive in London ?
Students will not be allowed to defer or change the course in London, unless they have a confirmation from the school prior to their arrival in London. All changes and additional requirements should be clarified before an application is made.
